Maritime Parc, Jersey City

It was a beautiful day out so we decided to take the Motorcycle for a day trip and head out to Liberty State Park.  There are two amazingly beautiful restaurants located within the park, one being Maritime Parc which we chose for a beverage and to check it out. When we walked in it was like we were transported into some ultra chic waiting room.  We were greeted by not one, not two but three ladies at the door... I agree in having beautiful podium garnish but too much can make people feel uncomfortable when walking into an empty restaurant. One of the young ladies offered to provide us with a tour which we accepted. The restaurant offers outside seating which has a stunning view of the Hudson and the inside is a well laid out restaurant with white chairs, beautiful wood tables and an open kitchen. We decided to go to the bar for a cocktail and review the menu. They gave us five.....in a place so "chic" it only needs two menus at the most.  As we reviewed the menus we waited for someone to offer us a beverage.  After a solid ten minutes, still no bartender.  We as foodies in the biz decided to sit and see just how long it would be before one of the "parsley sprigs" at the door would break out from her mode and go "OMG, still no bartender".  At around the twelve minute mark she came back to mother earth, got behind the bar, clearly not knowing what to say and offered us some water.  Finally one of the food servers asked us if we would like something to drink. We both ordered a glass of wine, a glass of white was $12 and my red was $14.  The bartender finally showed up just in time to present us with the check.  My winebeau and I decided to write this one off for now and revisit this beautiful restaurant another day. Even though I feel it has too many menus they all looked well written and have both creativity and passion. I look forward to our next visit.
